What does a mom look for in a new pediatric clinic? What’s important to the nursing staff? How about the docs? The infection prevention folks? The technical support staff? Iconica navigates every project with a critical set of tools: project goals for quality, schedule and budget set by the owner; a program document detailing the requirements for each and every space; and a series of review meetings including integrated plan reviews by all team members. Our process makes it easy to engage and gain consensus from stakeholders while staying the course with project goals.

Meriter’s new 7,500 square foot clinic space at 2275 Deming Way, in the Discovery Springs development in Middleton opens on December 1st. Iconica’s design team, including members of the architectural, engineering and interior design departments, started the project just three short months ago. We presented original creative solutions to the space requirements and collaborated with Meriter personnel to meet their standards for function, comfort and aesthetics. Iconica’s construction team helped with budgeting, bidding and then managed the construction. While we sometimes offer our services separately, on this project True Design-BuildSM helped shave weeks off the schedule while the budget remained within dollars of our original estimate.

The client was duly impressed. The finishes blend cohesively with Meriter’s other clinics to present a cohesive brand. Furthermore, the clinic passed inspection with flying colors and was reported to be “the cleanest clinic I have seen” by Meriter’s Infection Prevention and Control Professional. Iconica’s integrated design-build team exceeded the expectations of our client.
